Roasted cauliflower with turmeric sauce

ROASTED CAULIFLOWER WITH TURMERIC SAUCE

Ingredients:

  • 1 cauliflower
  • sea ​​salt
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • 30 g of butter
  • 20 gr of organic wheat flour
  • 1 spoonful grated turmeric
  • 200 gr heavy cream
  • sea ​​salt
  • a pinch of freshly ground nutmeg (optional)

Preparation:

Wash the cauliflower and remove the green leaves. Remove the stem and cut into two-inch thick sheets. Place the slices in a baking dish and sprinkle with olive oil and salt. Bake at 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until tender.

Prepare the sauce in a saucepan over low heat. Put the butter to melt and then add the flour and turmeric. Quickly stir with a stick and add the cream gently to stir until it forms a creamy, smooth and bright sauce. Add salt to taste and a bit of freshly grated nutmeg optionally. Serve the cauliflower with a spoonful of sauce on each plate.
