Hummus

 

HUMMUS RECIPE

 

Ingredients:

  • 400 gr. cooked and drained chickpeas
  • 1 tablespoon of tahini or sesame paste
  • the juice of half a lemon
  • 1 tablespoon sweet paprika
  • 1 glass of water
  • 1/2 clove of garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • extra virgin olive oil

Preparation:

Put the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic and paprika in the glass of the blender. Add a splash of oil and half a glass of water and beat a little, until a texture of lumpy mash is left. Add more water if necessary to get that texture.

Put to the point of salt and pepper and place in a bowl. Crush the surface of the humus with the base of a soup spoon leaving some grooves, and then fill with a splash of oil.

It´s great with a little roasted sesame seeds and a little spicy paprika sprinkled on top.
